Korea Survival Guide

Privacy

This page explains what happens to your data when you read Korea Survival Guide. The short version: this site does not ask you for anything, and there is no account to create.

What this site collects directly

Nothing. There are no sign-ups, no newsletter, no comment form, and no tracking that identifies you personally. Nothing you do here is stored against your name or email address.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard request logs — the page requested, a timestamp, your approximate region, and your browser type. These are ordinary operational records used to keep the site running, and they are handled under Vercel's own privacy policy.

Advertising

When advertising is running on this site, it is served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this or other sites, and to measure whether those ads worked.

You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. Your browser's own cookie controls work here too.

Analytics

When analytics are running, they are used only to see which pages people read and which searches bring them here. That information is aggregated — it tells us that a page was read, not who read it.

Links to other sites

Guides here sometimes link to government pages, banks and other services. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Children

This site is written for adults moving to or living in Korea. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If advertising or analytics change in a way that affects what is described here, this page gets updated rather than quietly left behind.
